Booking a Botox session does not mean having to take a day off work, or even a morning. A Botox session is as quick and simple as having your nails done and can be scheduled to fit in with your daily arrangements.
Take a break out of your normal day’s routine and have a Botox session. After an initial consultation, a normal Botox appointment will be quick and straight forward, allowing you to carry on with your day as normal afterwards.
You may experience some mild redness and a slightly bruised sensation at the injection sites, but returning to your normal work or daily activities should not be a concern. Side effects from Botox® are extremely rare and will be discussed with you by your practitioner before you undergo any treatment. For your first appointment you may wish to have some free time planned afterwards to see how you react, as you may develop a slight headache or find that an icepack helps to reduce any bruising sensation you experience.
Effects of Botox
Botox® is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improving the appearance of the neck and face. The Botulinum toxin (Botox) works by cutting off communication between muscles and nerves in your face, relaxing facial wrinkles and producing a smoother appearance.
Does Botox Work Immediately?
No, not immediately. It starts to take effect as soon as the injection has been performed, however the desired effects normally take around 4 to 5 days to be fully seen. The effects then continue to work, improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles and finally peaking at around 2 weeks. Therefore, if you have a special event you wish to look your best for, consider having Botox 2 weeks before for optimum results. Results last for around 4 months.
